In Our Own Spaces is a community-hosted artist salon series in Los Angeles, founded in 2023 by Lauren Reynolds and Adi Kwiatek. Created as a response to the pressures of careerism and capital in the art world, the salon series reimagines the relationship between artists, their work, and viewership. Each bi-monthly salon is centered around a theme—such as Bring a Work in Progress or The Worlds Within Us—shaping both the shared work and group discussion. A defining feature of In Our Own Spaces is its rotating host model. Salons rotate between members’ homes across the city, turning personal spaces into third spaces for creative exchange. From West Hollywood to Highland Park, the series builds an ever-growing network of intimate, artist-led gatherings.

I helped to organize and host the Los Angeles 2026 HTML Day. HTML Energy started an annual celebration of HTML going 4 years <strong> self-hosted by people around the globe.

Consumerism sucks, but getting new clothes is fun. It’s all about redefining “new.” So I threw an Anti-Shopping Swapping Party: come swap clothes, leave with friends. I designed the flyer, too.
