I currently teach private lessons specializing in oil painting techniques and contemporary studio practices. With nearly 10 years of experience working with oil paint (I was fortunate enough to receive direct training by several incredible contemporary artists) and 5 years of teaching young children, teens, and adults in a variety of ways; as artist-in-residence, 1:1 lessons, and in classrooms. I offer in-depth guidance on materials, mediums, surface preparation, experimental techniques, and painting methodology.

In 2024, I was invited to teach a workshop as a teaching-artist in residence at The Oxbow School, a semester-based art school for juniors and seniors in high school. I had the privilege to lead them through a series of projects introducing them to oil painting and subjective art making. Every single one of those high schoolers absolutely rocked. Olive, my dog, had a pretty awesome time too.
